The Plaza Premium Lounge offers a get a away from the hustle and bustle of Kempegowda Airport, Bangalore. It is part of the MasterCard lounge program along with giving free access to certain VISA cards. The lounge offers a decent selection of food, but what is best is the view overlooking the departure concourse and the ramp and runway beyond. The soft drinks selection is cleverly hidden at the bar, not the refrigerator next to the food service where one would expect it to be. If you want good food, the Above Ground Lounge next to Plaza is a better bet, but it is more restrictive to get in to for VISA card holders.

Surprised actually that an airport lounge has been listed in 'Things to do' in Bangalore by Trip Advisor. Although I've visited the lounge a few times being a holder of Premier Miles card. It's located above Malgudi in the departure section. The lounge is certainly comfortable, the single seater sofas are quite cozy with charging points easily available too. Quite spacious and plenty of seating here. There is a bar which serves good variety of liquor.

Most of my visits have been early in the morning and I've had the buffet breakfast here 4-5 times. Good options of fruits, some bakery products and mostly south Indian items like idli, vada, and a live dosa counter. Had lunch here once and that was quite good too. Considering it is an airport lounge, the buffet quality is quite alright. Washrooms are clean and wi-fi connectivity is good, so it's nice to spend some time here and relax before your flight.
